Michigan Planet Blue

With the ever increasing demands on the earth and its resources, the University of Michigan has developed a program that emphasizes sustainability. Planet Blue is an all inclusive Michigan university initiative that incorporates educational and research programs and campus operations. Planet Blue and the Office of Campus Sustainability spearhead operations and events that benefit local Ann Arbor communities and the world.

University of Michigan: A Bicycle Campus

The League of American Bicyclists has named the University of Michigan a Bike Friendly University, in honor of the university’s commitment toward encouraging and enhancing bicycle transportation on campus. Michigan is one of only 35 universities nationwide to receive the bronze designation. University officials plan to expand the bike program to reduce the use of single-vehicle travel around campus and promote exercise and healthy activity among the students.

E-Waste Removal Ann Arbor

The University of Michigan Office of Campus Sustainability holds an annual E-Waste event at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor. This event is open to the public and is free of charge. Simply drive up with your e-waste and all the work will be done for you.
